Amazon Prime Video
To support Amazon Prime Video’s PR stunt at Bondi Beach, and to launch the new Borat movie on the video streaming platform, we tasked comedians Tom Armstrong and Frenchy to dress up as Borat and engage with spectators. The duo in disguise handed out monokini’s, maskini’s (2020’s hottest accessory) and tiny blue cupcakes with a naked baby on top. Persuading real people to dress up in typical Borat accessories, the footage was captured on camera and shared across socials, on both Amazon Prime Video’s channels as well as the comedian’s channels.
The second aspect of the social activation the Two Palms Media team executed was a box send out to select influencers with Borat attire. Each box was made up of a mask- and monokini, a “naked” bodysuit, the typical grey oversized Borat suit and Borat’s daughters costume and wig. A total of 10 influencers took the unboxing to Instagram, promoting the show with their own twist. While some enacted a clothing transition reel, others took their viewers through their dress up experience, persuading their viewers to watch the movie.
